Southern California Amtrak service consists of three long-distance trains (Coast Starlight, Southwest Chief and Sunset Limited) and one corridor service (Pacific Surfliner). The Transit Coalition stays active in local Amtrak issues.
Amtrak's Coast Starlight is a long-distance train service
between Los Angeles and Seattle and is an important transportation
link within and between California, Oregon, and Washington. The
Transit Coalition works alongside the Coast
Starlight Communities Network to protect and improve this
service. For more information on these efforts, visit our Coast
Starlight page (coming soon).
