Public Hearing Statements Submitted to the Riverside Transit Agency:
- Comments on Proposed RTA Service Changes (January & July, 2010)

- Comments on Proposed RTA DAR Service Change Policy (January, 2010)
• RTA Action Taken: Approved as proposed.
• Regarding the grandfathering seniors between ages 60-64, RTA determined that most would still qualify for DAR service due to disabilities.
- Comments on Proposed RTA 2010-2012 Short Range Transit Plan (July, 2009)
• RTA Action Taken: Approved as proposed with deferment of late night service for trunk routes.
• In October, 2009, transportation officials will conduct a feasibility study for a multi modal transit station at the Riverside Downtown Metrolink station as suggested by TTC.
- Comments on Proposed Cancellation of RTA Route 52 Green Line Trolley (June, 2009)
• RTA Action Taken: Approved as proposed and added additional CommuterLink bus stops in Downtown Riverside as suggested by TTC.
- Comments on Proposed RTA Service Reductions (June, 2009)
• RTA Action Taken: Approved with modifications.
• The Route 27 proposal to bypass Sun City was withdrawn due to mismatched span from Route 74.
• Route 36 (Yucaipa-Beaumont) was cancelled as proposed, but Pass Transit agreed to launch an express route between Calimesa and Beaumont as replacement. TTC firmly objected to the route's cancelation until alternative service was negotiated with Pass Transit.
• Routes 40 and 61 were interlined, addressing TTC's concern regarding mismatched hours of service between the lines and connectivity to MSJC from Lake Elsinore.
• The Route 8 proposal to remove service from Machado St was withdrawn. TTC opposed the proposal given the corridor's population density.
- Comments on Proposed RTA Service Reductions (January, 2009)
• RTA Action Taken: Approved with modifications.
• The proposed service reductions for Routes 18/18A, 20, 29, and 32 were withdrawn due to increasing ridership.
• Route 36 (Yucaipa-Beaumont) was not cancelled, but its span and frequency were reduced. TTC firmly objected to the route's cancelation until alternative service was negotiated with Pass Transit.
• Route 206 (Saturday) was cancelled due to very low ridership and local transportation officials are evaluating the feasiblity of bus rapid transit for the I-15 Freeway, which would offer more productive service and better ridership base. TTC objected to the route's cancelation due to opportunities to improve the route's structure to meet current weekend travel demands.
