Talk of the City

Monday, July 28, 2003

Leave Your Car Behind (Listen)
How do you build a mass transit system that works well enough to be more convenient than personal automobiles? Kitty Felde puts this question and more to a panel of transportation experts: Richard Willson, Cal Poly Pomona's Interim Dean, College of Environmental Design; Ray Sosa, MTA's Deputy Planning Project Manager for the Eastside Rail; Bart Reed, Executive Director of The Transit Coalition; and Naresh Amatya, Lead Regional Planner for the Southern California Association of Governments. Also, who was supposed to be with us was Cynthia Rojas from the Bus Riders Union, but she declined and the organization declined to participate.
