Hahn Against HOV Lanes
May 20, 1976. Original Herald Examiner newspaper caption:
"Stamp Out Diamond Lanes read stickers Supervisors Kenneth Hahn,
left and Baxter Ward are handing out to motorists at the Overland Avenue
on-ramp to the Santa Monica Freeway. About 100 of the stickers were distributed."
Note: Kenneth Hahn is responsible for spearheading
getting Los Angeles County first Light Rail Line (Blue Line) funded, built
and in service after the last of the Red and Yellow cars were removed
from service in the 60's. Today the Blue Line has over 70,000 daily boardings.
